Is your timber material legal with certificate of origin?
The timber species used for our wooden furniture always comes from sustainable sources and are certified by their local governments.

Is the timber kiln-dried ?
Timber is kiln-dried to a moisture content of 10% max before it is taken out of the kiln system. During the production process, the moisture may increase to 16% max, which is acceptable at the time of shipment.

Can you produce other personalised products than the one listed in your website?
Yes and it is the strength of Olala-Vietnam. So, please share your wishes with us. If you have a concrete project, send us a picture or a drawing and indicate your requirement; dimension, type of wood, colours, options, etc. Don’t hesitate as we are able to respond to a wide range of original and personalised requests.

How can we know your approximate tariffs?
- For products that are listed on our website, just send us an email. We will send you an approximate quotation in the next 24h. The exact price, in general more competitive, will be calculated after the production of the sample (for small articles)
- For special requests, please e-mail your ideas and will send you a quotation at the latest after 7 days (max).
- Our prices include the article, all the technical costs. Our prices don’t include VAT and transportation fees as we quote FOB Ho Chi Minh City (for orders higher than 2’500USD). Of course we can offer CIF or door-to-door delivery.

What is the minimum quantity?
1 piece as we want to respond to all your requests. But it is obvious that for small quantity, price will be expensive as the initial costs (technical, communication, material, etc) are the same for small or big quantity.

Do you accept to produce samples before production and how much do you charge for the production of a personalised sample?
With pleasure!
For small products (under 50USD), we are pleased to produce them free of charge.
For large products (over 50USD), we only charge material. We will send you an estimated sample production price for payment.
When the real sample is produced, we send you some pictures to check, but if you want to receive it, we will ask you to pay -
What time is needed to produce a sample?
Our workshop allows us to produce samples between 5 and 10 days, according to the complexity of your article. Please add 5 to 10 days for a door-to-door delivery (express).

Before sending us the real sample, can you quote the final and exact price?
Yes, after producing the sample, we are able to calculate and inform you about the exact price.

How can we request to start production?
- Just send an email to inform us that you approve our sample and quotation.
- We email you a summary of your order; quantity, price, production time (starting at the reception of the first bank transfer), etc.
- You inform us about your first bank transfer (50% deposit) or opening of Letter of Credit. (Cf. Terms payment).
- At the reception of your bank transfer (that can take some days), we send you a confirmation and we start the production.

Can we cancel an order?
No. As your personalised articles can not be used or sold anymore.

What is the production time?
In general, 1 to 2 months are needed for production (departure from Ho Chi Minh City), but it will depend on the products ordered, the quantity but also the period that you give order. However, as we regularly cooperate with medium and small producers, we can satisfy you even in urgency. At each order, we inform you about the production time needed to complete the request.

Are your deadlines respected?
We guarantee our delivery deadlines (FOB Ho Chi Minh City). In case of unexpected problems, we make a 2% discount for every delayed day (1 day -2%, 10 days -20%, etc). Please note that, we are not responsible for the delays caused by the forwarders.

How do you monitor the production?
- We have a shop in HCM city and our main office in our factory. They allow us to permanently follow up the production in order to avoid mistakes and loss of time.
- If you wish, we can regularly inform you about the progress of the production.

How do you control the quality after production?
When the production is finished and verified by our workers, our Quality Control Team inspects each article one-by-one to ensure a perfect finish, similar to the approved sample presented to you. This operation is directly realised at our premises in order to immediately repair or reproduce the unsatisfactory articles.

What are the packing specificities?
Packing is specific according to the product. However, if needed, packing can be personalised.

What are the working conditions of the workers?
- In 1996, the co-manager of Olala-Vietnam (Sébastien Barmaz) co-funded with a Belgian friend the NGO Education for Development that works in South Vietnam to support disadvantaged children. He worked for this organisation for almost 8 years. So it is obvious to say that we ensure that children are never exploited.
- It is also for this reason that we pay 2% on each of your payment towards community projects.
- However, contrary to our competitors, we don’t have any social regulations and Code of Ethics, that are sometimes written from cosy offices in Europe but unfortunately verified only few times per year.
- At Olala-Vietnam, we discuss with workers and can naturally verify their working conditions and their needs.
- You will also understand that with the price that we offer, the salaries can not be very high. They simply allow them to earn one’s living.
- To decide to pay our products more expensive would simply not enable us to exist in this context of globalisation and the extreme competition.
- So we are not able and not willing to produce for customers that request to get price that don’t allow worker to SURVIVE.
LOGISTIC & TERMS OF PAYMENT
The production is finished, how Olala-Vietnam manages the logistic?

TRANSPORT
- Which means of transportation is used?
- By air or by sea
- As we generally quote FOB Ho Chi Minh City, the forwarder can be selected by our customer who will be charged for these transportation costs.
- However, since we have a good experience with professional forwarder, we can organise the transportation.
- It is obvious that we don’t take commission for this service.
- What are the transportation prices?
The forwarding price changes regularly and price differs according to the destination. For each of your request, we can send you the newest tariff of some of our forwarders.
- Which means of transportation is used?

TERMS OF PAYMENT
- What are the terms of payment and when does ÔLALA-VIETNAM starts production?
>10’000 USD A letter of Credit is opened by our customer at the sample’s approval and the confirmation of the order. We start the production. 1’000 USD

10’000 USDA 50% deposit is transferred to our bank account and we start the production as soon as we receive it.
We send you all the transportation documents (that are needed to receive the merchandise in your country) by express as soon as we receive your last payment (50%).< 1’000 USD We start production as soon as we receive the integral payment (100%) of the order.
- What are the terms of payment and when does ÔLALA-VIETNAM starts production?

- Can you provide Certificate of Origin (C/O)?
- Yes, but we charge 50 USD for this service.
- However, it happens sometimes that for such articles we are not able to supply C/O because the material needed is not produced in Vietnam. In such case, we will inform you when we send you our quotation.
- How do you send us the documents of transportation & Certificate of Origin?
- If the merchandise is sent by air:
If we receive the integral amount of your order 2 days before the departure, we will join all the transportation documents together with the merchandise.
If not, we send you the documents by express at your charge only when we receive the total amount of the order. - If the merchandise is sent By sea :
We will send you the documents by express (at your charge) after reception of the integral amount of your order

Products are missing?
Before each delivery, our Quality Control team inspects and packed each articles and verify that the quantity is correct. Therefore , it is extremely rare that such problem occurs but if you are the unlucky one, we will reproduce and send you quickly the missing articles, at our charge.

The wood of your outdoor flooring & garden furniture become gray or has some fissures ?
- Timber naturally deteriorates over years due to exposure to the elements but with good maintenance and protection you can extend its lifespan significantly. We recommend that all outdoor articles are stored away before the onset of winter.
- We also recommend that all surfaces should be given further regular applications of a good quality teak oil or quality hardwood protector.
